These terms govern your use of Doctera. By creating an account or booking through Doctera, you agree to them.
Not for emergencies. Doctera is a booking and records platform, not a medical provider and not an emergency service. In an emergency, call the Lebanese Red Cross on 140 or go to the nearest emergency department.
Doctera connects patients with independent doctors for booking and (where offered) video consultations, and gives doctors tools to manage their practice. Doctera does not provide medical advice or care; the treating doctor is solely responsible for the medical services they provide.
Doctors are responsible for their licensing, the accuracy of their profile and availability, the care they provide, their prescriptions and records, and for complying with medical and data-protection laws. Doctera is a tool, not a party to the doctor–patient relationship.
Consultation fees are set by each doctor and shown on their profile. Unless stated otherwise, payment is made directly to the doctor/clinic. Any subscription a doctor takes with Doctera is governed by the plan agreed with us.
Do not misuse the platform: no scraping or bulk extraction of data, no attempts to break security, no impersonation, no uploading unlawful content, and no use that harms others or the service.
You keep ownership of the information you provide. You grant us the limited permission needed to operate the service (e.g. store and display your records to the doctors you choose). You can export or delete your data; see the Privacy Policy.
The service is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep it available and accurate but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or the conduct of any doctor or patient. To the extent permitted by law, Doctera is not liable for the medical services provided by doctors or for indirect or consequential losses.
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or the law. You can close your account at any time.
Doctera operates as an electronic service under Lebanon’s Law No. 81/2018 on Electronic Transactions and Personal Data. Electronic records and signatures used on Doctera (accepting these terms, booking confirmations, consultation notes and reports) carry the same legal effect as paper where the law’s reliability conditions are met (Arts. 4–9). Contracts concluded electronically, and the pre-contract information we make available, follow Part II of that law (Arts. 31–39). We keep the digital records of these transactions for the periods the law requires.
These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon, including Law No. 81/2018 on Electronic Transactions and Personal Data, and disputes fall under the competent courts of Beirut.
